ENGINEERING VIEW

Building services stop being separate silos once they report to a single control and monitoring layer.

A building becomes manageable at the point where its services can be seen together. Until then, HVAC, lighting, metering and access each have their own interface, their own alarm and their own version of what is happening.

RAHCore integrates those systems into a building management layer, so that operation is based on current data rather than on inspection rounds.

TECHNICAL SCOPE

What sits inside this capability

  • Design intent
REQUIREMENT

The requirement this addresses

Automation installed system by system produces islands: a chiller controller that cannot tell the lighting system the floor is empty, and a metering system whose data never reaches the people deciding on consumption. The hardware is present; the integration that would make it useful is not.

DELIVERY

How RAHCore approaches it

We design the chain deliberately — sensing, control, management, monitoring, analysis — and specify the interfaces between them before procurement, so that devices chosen for one subsystem can actually report into the common layer.

DELIVERY METHOD

From planning to commissioning

  1. 01Survey of existing services, controllers and available data points
  2. 02Integration architecture defining protocols and interfaces
  3. 03Specification of sensors, controllers and the management layer
  4. 04Installation, cabling and device commissioning
  5. 05Point-by-point verification against the design schedule
  6. 06Operator handover, with monitoring and reporting configured

DETAILED CAPABILITY

Scope of work

Systems

  • Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Automation and integrated controls
  • IoT-based monitoring
  • Smart metering
  • Real-time monitoring solutions

Design intent

  • Energy-efficient infrastructure design
  • Interoperability between building and IT systems
  • Building technology integration
INTEGRATION

Integration with other systems

Smart building work touches electrical, HVAC, ELV and fire systems directly, and depends on the structured cabling that connects them. Delivering the controls alongside those services avoids the common outcome where integration is specified after the equipment has already been chosen.

LIFECYCLE

Lifecycle and maintenance

Controls need maintenance as much as plant does: sensor drift, failed devices and configuration changes all degrade the value of the system over time. Preventive inspection and periodic verification are part of the AMC scope.

TYPICAL ENGAGEMENTS

Where this capability is applied

  • BMS for a corporate or institutional building
  • Integration of existing standalone controllers
  • Energy monitoring and smart metering roll-out
  • IoT-based environmental and occupancy monitoring
  • Controls layer for a data centre facility
  • Energy-efficiency programme in an existing estate
WHY RAHCORE

What the delivery model adds

Controls specified with the servicesIntegration is designed before equipment is selected, not retrofitted after.
One coordinated delivery frameworkRAHCore leads design planning and commissioning with empanelled OEMs and specialist subcontractors, supported by strong project management.
Data that reaches a decisionMonitoring and analytics are configured for the people who act on them.
